You can always count on Holly Willoughby to serve up a look we love.

Not long ago she helped us kick off our bank holiday weekend with this stunning, broderie anglaise M&S dress, £45.

And today, after a short hiatus (while she was off presenting The Games) Holly has returned to This Morning wearing another divine midi shirt dress we immediately wanted to add to basket.

And we predict that the short-sleeved Whistles shirt dress will be an instant classic.

The light-weight, woven fabric of the Whistles 'Robyn' dress – currently £129 from Selfridges – is embossed with a subtle baroque-print in a slightly darker pink.

The midi shirt dress nips in slightly at the waist, before gently flaring out and hitting that flattering spot – the mid-calf – and is currently also available from John Lewis and Whistles directly.

While Holly has teamed her dress with nude court shoes which gives it a work-appropriate vibe, it could also be worn with fuchsia kitten-heeled mules for a party, or high strapped cream sandals and a bejewelled headband for a wedding.

And yes, it can even be dressed down with our favourite weekend staple – white trainers – for a coffee and cake catch-up with friends.

We also love the fit of the dress – it gently skims your curves to give a flattering silhouette.

Another thing that's great? For a work-friendly look, you can button it right up to the top.

But if you want to show off a little more décolletage on, say, date night, then you can unbutton it and have a camisole top peeping through.

In fact, the more you look at the Whistles 'Robyn' dress, the more you notice the lovely details.

There are the little patch pockets just over the bust. And the sleeves, which are subtly puffed at the shoulders. Plus, the buttons are just the right shade of soft pink so as not to detract from the stunning pattern.
