New Exhibit Features Black, White, and Grey Art and Everything In-Between

Forty-four artists will be featured in “Black + White,” a new exhibit on view at the gallery of Falls Church Arts from May 14 through June 26.

Artists were invited to submit predominantly black, white, and grey art for this all-media show that demonstrates the visual power of black and white and what’s in between.

Emerging and established artists submitted an extensive range of media, including joomchi, digital collage, oil, acrylic, pen and ink, gouache, photography, mixed media, watercolor, fused glass, linoleum cut, papier mache on wood, hand-embroidery, hand built porcelain, cold wax, and linocut.

The gallery at Falls Church Arts is at 700-B West Broad St. (Route 7), Falls Church. The gallery is open Tuesdays-Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Two awards, a $100 Juror’s Choice and a $50 People’s Choice, were made possible by a donation from Cuates Grill, 502 W. Broad St., #5, Falls Church, VA 20046. The People’s Choice Award will be announced at the end of the show based on votes from visitors to the gallery.
