The pajamas belonging to Queen Victoria did not reach the reserve price at the auction.
At Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire, bids for nightdresses and shirts were £3,800 and £3,400, respectively.
Shirts are expected to sell for up to 5,000 pounds, and nightdresses are expected to cost up to 6,000 pounds.
They were given to a maid who served the royal family in the 1880s and belonged to a former language school owner in Oxford.
A spokesperson for the auction house said: "Unfortunately, despite the strong interest that arose before the auction, this time the royal pajamas did not fully reach their reserve price."
The authenticity of these two pieces of clothing has been verified by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
They are all auctioned by Derbyshire Winter Art, Antiques and Collectors.
Before the death of 79-year-old Hilary Aston, her aunt and uncle gave her this "large" nightdress and shirt.
Her uncle is the automotive engineer Hubert Noel Charles (Hubert Noel Charles), who designed the early MG cars.
His family hired employees, one of whom had worked for Queen Victoria.
It is believed that the staff who leave the royal family will get gifts, while the maids will get pajamas.
Auctioneer Charles Hansen said: "Queen Victoria's diary mentions that there is a way to distribute the clothes she discards.
"Such a process could have been done cautiously by individual staff."
The nightdress includes a queen code embroidered in white with a number. This petticoat has a logo related to Queen Victoria under the armpit.
"Although Queen Victoria was only 4 feet 11 inches (150 cm) when she became Queen at the age of 18, and she was petite, her waist circumference has expanded to 50 inches (127 cm) in the past few decades-these flowing clothes The large size emphasizes this fact," Mr. Hansen said.
Hansons had previously sold a pair of Queen Victoria bloomers, which were sold for £4,500 in 2008.
A collection of her clothing and boots will be sold for a hammer price of £16,500 in 2020.
