HOLMDEL, NJ — The Holmdel Township Committee will hold a special public meeting at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to vote on resolutions to appoint a township administrator and to appoint a police chief, according to notice from the township.

Both positions are currently being filled on an acting basis by William E. Antonides, Jr. as interim township administrator and Capt. Frank Allocco as acting chief of police .

Employment agreements for both positions will also be voted on at that time.

On March 28, the committee named Antonides as interim township administrator in addition to his current role as Holmdel's chief financial officer. The township had revoked an agreement with an external consulting firm to provide interim administrator services after the departure in February of Cherron Rountree, the previous township administrator.

In February, Capt. Frank Allocco was named acting chief of police for the township, following the retirement of Chief John Mioduszewski, effective in March.
