Ram's rampage of gratitude to those who serve their communities continues with the introduction of the next Built to Serve limited-edition Ram 1500 truck, this time dedicated to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers. These first responders include (but are not limited to) paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who provide pre-hospital emergency care. These are the people on the frontlines of tragedy, trauma, panic, and disaster. They save lives and witness life's ugly moments; they are most deserving of recognition.

We've seen a lot of these Built to Serve Ram trucks simply because of the incredible spectrum of men and women who serve and protect our communities and country. For those keeping track at home, the 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve EMS edition is the seventh (of at least eight) Built to Serve trucks. The first Built to Serve phase was dedicated to each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and the Coast Guard). The second Built to Serve phase pays tribute to the three main first-responder services (firefighters, emergency medical service providers, and police officers). That means Ram's on the second truck of the second phase. It's hard to believe that Built to Serve Ram trucks, launching with model-year 2020, have spanned into model-year 2023 with the EMS edition.

All the Built to Serve trucks are draped in unique exterior colors complemented by a bevy of black exterior pieces, including the bumpers, grille, light bezels, badges, side steps, and dual four-inch exhaust tips. The 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve EMS edition comes in Hydro Blue and Bright White. (Wait, what color will the police edition be?) For reference: Army edition is offered in a choice of Gator (green) and Diamond Black Crystal; Navy edition is offered in Ceramic Gray and Patriot Blue; Air Force edition is offered in Anvil (gray) and Billet Silver Metallic; Marine Corps edition is offered in Tank (green) and Flame Red; Coast Guard edition comes in Spitfire (orange) paint and Bright White; and the firefighter edition is offered in Redline and Diamond Black.

As with the other Built to Serve trucks, the EMS edition sports bedside American flag decals with Built to Serve written underneath. It also gets the Technical Gray 20-inch aluminum wheels, a finish that is unique to the Built to Serve trucks.

The Built to Serve EMS Ram 1500 gets performance cloth and premium vinyl Sport seats with blue accent stitching and Black Onyx chrome interior trim. (The firefighter Built to Serve Ram gets orange accent stitching.) The Built to Serve dashboard badge and Built to Serve-embroidered Velcro seat panels also carry over. The front seat-back panels are reinforced via Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing, and all-weather floor mats keep the mess at bay.

Off-road prowess also carries over in the form of all-terrain tires, electronic-locking rear axle, hill-descent control, skid plates, tow hooks, and calibrated shocks.

The 2023 Ram 1500 Built to Serve package honoring Emergency Medical Service professionals is available on Big Horn/Lone Star Crew Cabs with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and 5.7-liter V-8 (eTorque and non-eTorque) powertrains. It starts at $56,810 and is on sale now. It's a good lookin' truck dedicated to folks who do good in our world.
