WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA — September signals harvest time at vineyards throughout the Golden State.

And while Greater Los Angeles may not known for "wine country" ambience, Westlake Village Inn's Stonehaus in West San Fernando Valley is uprooting that notion. The resort is hosting an upcoming harvest event — complete with grape picking, vineyard lunch, live music and a traditional grape stomp — reminiscent of an Italian-inspired, winery experience.

The Stonehaus "September Harvest Crush" is Sunday, Sept. 25, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and tickets are on sale for ages 21+ at $55 per person.

Included is a family-style, vineyard lunch with cheese, charcuterie, salad, rotisserie chicken and a glass of wine from the Stonehaus label.

With an indoor-outdoor, vineyard setting, The Stonehaus is the resort's wine bar and coffee shop that, along with wine varietals from California, Italy and its private label, also serves pizza baked in an outdoor oven and such breakfast items as smoothies, pastries, bagels and croissant sandwiches.

For those keen on a weekend stay, the Westlake Village Inn & Spa offers luxe accommodations on a 17-acre, manicured estate featuring a lake, cobblestone paths, gardens, gazebos, restaurants and a full spa.

If interested in the Harvest Crush, book soon, as only a limited quantity of tickets are available.

The Stonehaus and inn are at 31943 Agoura Road in Westlake Village.
